Dziadzia is pronounced "JAH-jah" and today I am going to teach my grandson Christopher who is 15 months old and not yet talking, to call me dziadzia.
Definition: The Americanized Polish word for "grandpa," used affectionately. Dziadek or dziadziu is the true Polish word for "grandfather" and "grampa," respectively.
